WashUCity ProjectTwo communities come together to practice collaborative visual learning in a new way. WashUCity connects Washington University juniors and seniors in visual communications with sophomores, juniors and seniors in graphic design at University City High School. Under faculty supervision, Washington University students develop and teach a curriculum which develops visual skills in form, methodology, and technology and can be applied in a wide variety of contexts. Through repeated close interactions with college students, and emphasis on formal and visual problem-solving skills, this design partnership presents high school students with an exciting set of possibilities for their futures — in visual communications and beyond.
